Made some changes to the forums this week.

Mainly we now have a reviews forum that is fed from another website www.in-a-tent.co.uk Like us they have only recently devolped the website and we are working closely with them. you can sign up to their website and review any camping related product that you use or have used. these are posted in full on their website and have the option for other users to comment which is great! Already some reviews are obtaining feedback from other users on the relevant product. These reviews are then fed into our forums with a brief outline of the review and direct link to the full artical. Other changes we have made are simply a move around some forums have been merged and a few removed. things were looking a little to cluttered so a little more straight forward now.

Brighton

None

Why?

Working the nightshift tonight, i get a call from home telling me that a couple of young idiots had smashed the window and set light to next doors car? I dont get it? why would anyone do this? further more she is only young by herself with her daughter..... poor woman no dobt the funds will be low and not available to replace the car. Little F*****rs wont get caught either or if they do the same thing will happen that allways happens. the police will spend hours doing all the paperwork only for cps to chuck it out due to no evidence the little sods get away with it, no dobt do it again or worse, the police waste all that time and everyone will blame them! when all they did was what the should do catch em, bag em and do the papers only for crown to let em down again! Like me sitting here asking myself why im sure the officers out on the road each night often ask themselves the same thing. This countrys gone mad i tell you!

The rain has stopped!

We have had a great few weeks on the weather front, except the last 4 days which is the same 4 days i decided to take the trees down at the back off our garden, they are now down completly after 4 long days slipping about in the mud and branches! the wet weather made for real difficult work! Finally fineshed cutting down the last trunk yesterday afternoon and what happens? The sun comes out! dont get me wrong this great i still got alot of chopping up and skip runs to do but it would have been nice to have done the cutting down in the safety of the dry!

Should have guessed really that it was easter bank holiday and the rain was a certainty!

Outwell Kids Room

Have been looking for a kids room for our Outwell Trout Lake for months now? seems stock is very slow coming through??? other Outwell products are all coming through except it would seem is the kids rooms? add to this that Yeomans have stopped stocking kids rooms alltogether makes me wonder if this add on is just not selling? why else would one of the largest suppliers stop stocking? Oh well will keep searching but im starting to not hold much hope for this one!

Brighton

Took kids to brighton to see a show at the brighton center which was great but what i want to tell you about is the Premiere Inn Hotel, Its not often today that i get praise a company for its staff customer service skill, and it was not just a few memebers off staff. it was all off them its been a while since i had an overnight stay in a hotel that i was made so welcome from such friendly pleasant staff. Brilliant! and further to this it was super cheap! cheap and good service! dont get much better than that! well if you add the breakfast then yes.. breakfast service was not only good value for money but very tasty and a great range off options. next time i need an over night stay i know what im looking for from now on.

Found a new website today

Came in this afternoon to a msg from the real camping world on twitter, ok so they found me not the other way round as i said.

Passport photos cont.

Done em!

I was right! but for the wrong reasons! kids were good... the problem was with the booth! the seat will not adjust high enough for a five year old! i had to sit him on my lap whilst leaning out the booth to make sure i was not in the photo.. (hate to think what this looked like to on lookers lol) to make it worse the first photo was no good so had to do it all again.. arrrrrrrrrgh.. however photo came out ok application can now go off in the post :) another job done.

On another note i hear on the radio that lewis hamilton has been disqualified from the australian grand prix due to mis-leading the stuards... Cant help but think he is being punished for the decision someone within the team made. still cheating is cheating!

Passport photos!

Gotta go get the kids from school then take them to get passport photos done.. Why am i worried about this?

Because i know its going to be a nightmare???

I have no reason to dreading it but i am i just dont know why?

The Outdoor Show

Just sorting out the photos from the outdoor show. need to resize them then upload. then maybe i can start typing an article on the event! it should really have been done allready but kinda got held up watching the grand prix.

NEC Outdoor Show 2009

Well tomorrow we will be off to the NEC at birmingham to checkout the Outdoor show. Looks like plenty to do and see even enough to keep the kids happy. will report later tomorrow with how it was along with some photos!

Have to just say! the red button on bbc1 for the live practice session of the formula 1 was shockingly bad! what are they streaming that over? dial up??? Come on bbc give us a good watchable feed please!

Feedburner

So i found feedburner tonight! and at last my twitterfeed problems are over, i was feeding my rss to twitter via twitterfeed but i just could not get it to work. so i setup the feed with feedburner and now its all working fine. so all camping forum posts are now fed into twitter! brilliant!

Blogger

Well it seems everyone is into this blogging thing! so i thought it was time i had join... I figured i would base my blog on my forum rather than myself! hopefully help with getting the site known! and content should be easier to come up with ;)
